Mr Berber gave me wonderful care, advice and encouragement. He helped me feel confident that I would soon be walking properly again and could go and do the things I have enjoyed since I retired.

Mr Reshid Berber was excellent from the first consultation through to the final discharge meeting. On meeting him, he put me at ease and took the time and care to listen to me before explaining what he thought may be the issue. Following the MRI scan he arranged for me, it confirmed what Mr Berber had said was the issue and arranged surgery, again, taking the time to explain the procedure, benefits and timeframes it would take. The surgery itself was very straight forward and I was put at ease from the moment he came to visit me in my room pre-surgery to the post surgery check where he explained the procedure and how it went. What I think the best bit about Mr Berber is, apart from his obvious specialisms in his field, is the person himself and how he invests his time into his patients and is prepared to listen and offer expert opinion, whilst explaining everything in detail. I would recommend him wholeheartedly and, if ever I require surgery in an area of Mr Berber's specialism in the future, I would opt for him to undertake it every time.

I have just received copies of letters from Mr Berber which conclude the whole process from June 2021 when I had a total knee replacement to my final meeting with Mr Berber in May 2022.Throughout the whole process from day one,Mr Berber's team have been so professional, kind, reassuring and informative. From my very first meeting at the City Hospital, through to the day of the operation itself,to the care I received at the Treatment Centre after the operation,to several sessions with the therapist(Matt Richardson who was exceptional)at City Hospital, and to finally my concluding meeting with Mr Berber,I have been so well looked after. As for the new knee,at 75 and luckily always very active until the knee problem,I am now no longer hampered in any way and am so grateful that I can now do what I want to do without being restricted.Absolutely wonderful!!!! A huge thankyou to you Mr Berber and to ALL your team. Constructive suggestions: Perhaps in the grand scheme of things a little petty but I do wish I had been very strongly advised to have the raised toilet seats fitted from day 1 as they were a godsend.
